Corten has been successfully used as cladding in various towns and cities throughout the UK. Corten cladding has proven to be popular with designers and architects due to the environmentally friendly nature and aesthetics of Corten steel.
Exhaustive tests have been carried out on Corten steel and it has proved to be a viable option for building facades.
Corten steel is available from 0.8mm up to 50mm thick. It is available in sheet and plate form in widths varying from 1000mm up to 2500mm wide. Decoiled lengths are also available to suit all applications.
Typically for cladding purposes 1.5mm thick Corten is seen as a starting point for Corten cladding. Again thicker plate is available to suit all applications.
